Welcome to Cupcake Ratings!!
I've been thinking of doing this for some time now and have finally decided to put my passion for cupcakes to some use. First, let me introduce myself. My name is Christin. I'm a 23-year old medical student from Boston. I'm currently living in New York City, aka Cupcake Mecca. So with some of the best and most famous cupcake bakeries literally around the corner from where I live right now, I should have ample opportunities to taste them all and probably will when dealing with the immense amount of studying and stress that will undoubtedly come with medical school.
You might ask, what kind of future doctor is obsessed with cupcakes? Well, I am. Don't get me wrong. I love my vegetables and my salads and other healthy foods, but I also love my desserts. If this whole medical school thing doesn't work out, I'd open a bakery of my own. But for now, I will satisfy my sweet tooth with the creations of the bakers of New York City.
I have seen a couple other cupcake critic websites and blogs online and will be developing my own rating system to hopefully incorporate all the qualities that make cupcakes so incredibly delicious.
I will conclude this entry with the obvious disclaimer that all the ratings contained in this blog are reflective are subject to my own personal tastes and preferences. So while a certain bakery's strawberry and white chocolate cupcake may be someone else's favorite, I am partial neither to most fruits nor white chocolate, so my rating would probably not do this particular cupcake justice in another taster's opinion. With that said, let the tasting commence.
